Our Founder
Dr. Christopher Paige
MS, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Christopher Paige, MS, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology) is the Founder and Medical Director of Valley Veterinary Cardiology. He leads the development and delivery of specialty cardiac care, both in-clinic and through our cardiologist-led mobile platform.
Dr. Paige has worked in veterinary cardiology for over 20 years, combining advanced clinical practice with a lifelong passion for animal health. He is board-certified in Cardiology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and spent more than 16 years practicing in private specialty hospitals across Mesa, Phoenix, and Flagstaff, Arizona, providing comprehensive and interventional cardiology services.
In 2012, he joined cardiovascular research at a world-renowned human medical device company, expanding his expertise in cardiac innovation, diagnostics, and translational medicine. He has served as Chair of the ACVIM Residency Training Committee and is Adjunct Faculty at Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine, reflecting his commitment to education, mentorship, and advancing the specialty.
Driven by a vision to improve access to high-quality cardiology care, Dr. Paige founded Veterinary Specialists of Northern Arizona in 2014 to provide specialty cardiology services throughout Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Sedona, and surrounding communities. In August 2016, he established Valley Veterinary Cardiology, creating the Valley’s first practice dedicated exclusively to veterinary cardiology with a focus on patient care, client communication, and strong partnerships with primary care veterinarians.
Under Dr. Paige’s leadership, the practice evolved into a specialty cardiology practice with an integrated, cardiologist-led mobile sonography platform, designed to extend expert cardiac diagnostics into veterinary hospitals without compromising oversight, quality, or continuity of care. He remains actively involved in case review, clinical decision-making, and sonographer training, ensuring every study reflects specialty-level standards.
Outside of work, Dr. Paige enjoys spending time with his wife, their two children, and family pets.
